THE HARDING PERPETUAL CHALLENGE TROPHY

This Trophy will be awarded to the combination of horse and rider who accumulates the greatest number of points throughout the Show.  Points will be awarded in all classes except Gymkhana, Fancy Dress, Personality Pony and clear round jumping, as follows: -

1st. Place - 12 Points
3rd. Place - 4 Points

2nd. Place - 8 Points
4th. Place - 2 Point


THE WREN PERPETUAL CHALLENGE TROPHY

This Trophy will be awarded to the combination of horse and rider who accumulates the second greatest number of points throughout the Show.  Points will be awarded in all classes except Gymkhana, Fancy Dress, Personality Pony and clear round jumping, as above

This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS(UK) to compete.  These classes are also qualifiers for Ponies UK Summer championships; please refer to your CHAPS Handbook. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 3rd, 4th & 5th September 2010.  Shows held on or after that date will count as 2011 qualifiers.  Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card. Ponies (UK) Summer Championships will be held on
11th - 14th August 2010. 
The following classes are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers
CLASS 17.    CLASS 20.    CLASS 22.

Terms & Conditions

CANTERING OR GALLOPING ON THE SHOWGROUND, EXCEPT IN THE RINGS OR IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF THE PRACTICE FENCE, IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
 
Anyone violating this rule is liable to be disqualified from all classes, with no refund of entry fees.

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate colts or stallions on the show ground

Proof of age may be required in appropriate classes and prize money may be withheld until this is produced.

For safety reasons hard hats to at least the current BS standard must be worn at all times, when mounted on the show ground, and a jacket must be worn when jumping. Body protectors are also recommended.

Age as on the day of the show.

In the event of classes clashing or running late, entry fees will NOT be refunded; competitors must choose which class they want to compete in.  Refund of entry fees will only be made on production of a Doctor’s or Vet’s Certificate. Entrants arriving late will not be admitted
Into a class unless at the judges discretion.

The decision of the judges and committee is final.  Any objection to any award must be lodged in writing, at the Secretary’s caravan on the Showground, within thirty minutes of the end of the judging of the class in question.  The objector must pay a deposit of £10 to the Secretary, when the objection is lodged.

Neither the committee, nor any judge or steward or other official, shall be liable for injury to the person, or the horse or other personal property of any competitor, spectator, or other person, however arising.  It is an express condition of entry that each competitor shall hold the committee judges, stewards and other officials harmless in respect of all such injury or damage.

Authorised officials and competitors ONLY are allowed in the ring.

ALL CUPS AND TROPHIES AWARDED ARE PERPETUAL CHALLENGE TROPHIES AND THEREFORE MUST BE RETURNED TO THE SECRETARY WITHIN ONE YEAR. A DEPOSIT OF £20 WILL BE REQUIRED FOR EACH CUP TAKEN FROM THE SHOW-GROUND. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ISSUE REPLICA TROPHIES. An Administration fee of £5 will be charged if the cups are not returned by June 30th for future shows.
